Turn web pages into videos
HyperFrames
Official HeyGen kit that lets your assistant build short videos as web pages and render them to MP4, with skills for Claude Code, Codex and Gemini.
- Works with
- Claude Code, Codex CLI, Gemini CLI
- Good for
- Graphic designers
What it does
HyperFrames lets an AI assistant make videos the way it makes web pages. The assistant writes a page with text, images and animation, and HyperFrames records it frame by frame into an MP4 file.
For a designer this means short promos, animated titles and social clips without opening a video editor. You describe the result in plain words and review the preview.
Example prompts
- "Using /hyperframes, make a 10-second product intro with a fade-in title"
- "Turn this slide into a 15-second vertical video for Instagram"
- "Add an animated chart showing these three numbers"
How to install
claude plugin marketplace add heygen-com/hyperframesclaude plugin install hyperframes@hyperframesnpx skills add heygen-com/hyperframesHow to use it
Type /hyperframes:hyperframes and describe the video you want, e.g. a 10-second product intro with a title and music.
Check it works
Run npx hyperframes preview inside a project to open a live preview in your browser (command from the README).
Common problems
- The plugin commands do not appear — the plugin loads when Claude Code starts — run
/pluginto check it is installed and enabled, then restart Claude Code. - "command not found: ffmpeg" (or Playwright cannot start a browser) — the video tools are missing on your computer — install ffmpeg (on a Mac:
brew install ffmpeg) and runnpx playwright install chromium, then try again.
What to watch out for
- Runs npx and shell commands to preview and render video
- Downloads packages from npm

How we tested it
We installed it on an empty test computer on 13 Oct 2026. Installed and started in a clean test system. Not yet used in a real AI session.
Not yet used on real work.
Technical details of the test
- Date
- 13 Oct 2026
- Method
- Intake sandbox run on 2026-10-13 in a clean container with no account: cloned the repository and checked its skill, agent and plugin files, ran "npx -y skills --help"; installed hyperframes@hyperframes with the Claude Code command line.
Checked again on 12 Oct 2026
Alternatives
- Remotion — older React video framework; its licence is not a standard open-source licence, so it is not listed
- Motion Graphics Skill Pack — community workflows for launch videos
FAQ
- Q: Is it free? A: The repo is open source (Apache-2.0); any API keys or services it uses may cost money.
- Q: Do I need to code? A: No, you describe what you want in plain words; the assistant does the rest.
